Restoring Stability: A Save the Dream Ohio Initiative Counselors
Bringing Restoring Stability: A Save the Dream Ohio Initiative assistance to homeowners who need it most.
Housing Counseling Agencies are critical to the success of Restoring Stability: A Save the Dream Ohio Initiative. It is the housing counselor's responsibility to work with homeowners, determine their eligibility for each of the four Restoring Stability programs and recommend the best program or programs to meet each homeowner's unique needs. While Restoring Stability limits counseling to intake and triage, housing counselors perform a variety of duties, including helping applicants submit their information, verifying eligibility, and assembling all documentation necessary for the homeowner to receive assistance. Counselors are also preparing and submitting proposed action plans to OHFA and assisting homeowners through the closing process.
